Over the past six years our country has been hit with some of the hardest economic tines in history. This has caused many dental patients to delay treatment that is needed because of continuing financial insecurity, Hi, I am Dr. Camillo DiLizia of Dental Wellness at Dry Creek and we believe that maintaining oral health is important to the over all well being of everyone.

Are dentists educating patients so they understand the potential risks inherent in delaying needed treatment? Our approach when confronted with this dilemma, is to look at treatment in two phases. First, we categorize treatment as either mandatory or elective. Treatment in the mandatory phase involves infection, pain, discomfort, decay, bleeding gums, fractured teeth, jaw joint dysfunction and discovery of potentially life threatening oral lesions. Then, once we put out the fires and have stabilized oral conditions, we can look at the elective treatment phase. This includes treatment to improve esthetics and function, such as bleaching, porcelain veneers, placement of sealants and other preventive measures. Also in the elective stage we can treatment plan implants, crowns, bridges and dentures to stabilize the bite.

Our approach is to educate patients about the importance of accepting care by using proper communication i an open and honest discussion, We also believe that how we deliver the information is just as important as the treatment plan. As always you can give us a call at 303-773-9400 for a no charge consultation or email me personally at [email protected] with any questions.
